We handcraft spice mixes and spice rubs in the Pacific Northwest. We make our spice mixes using the freshest and finest quality ingredients. The spices are inspired by the cooking and dishes of South India. We have realized over the years that these spice mixes have a variety of other uses in addition to in Indian food. Our Story
Nataraja Spices LLC is located in the Pacific Northwest (Seattle), and was founded by Venkat Balasubramani in 2005. The Company combines two of Venkat's interests: retail and food/cooking. The inspiration for the company is of course, his mother, whose wonderful cooking and use of spices demonstrate the variety of ways in which South Indian spices can be used. At present, the company consists of Venkat and his mom, who handle all aspects of production and distribution of the spice rubs and mixes.The culinary brainchild behind the spice mixes is my mom who lives in Portland, Oregon and India. -Venkat, Founder of Nataraja Spices
